Quick Thoughts:
For the third entry in this trilogy, we finally get to experience Jackson’s romance. I think of all of the groomsmen’s love stories, this one is the most cliche: the guy who swears off love ends up falling in love with a restaurant owner while in Italy. However because we’re already accustomed to both Jackson and this format from the prior two films, it actually doesn’t come off as bad as other Hallmark films.
But “Last Dance” really. has two stories. Jackson gets his romance – and we FINALLY get to learn who is the runaway bride telling the entire story. It’s Jackson’s daughter, oddly running away because she and her partner, Milo, don’t have the same epic love stories the groomsmen experienced. Because of this dual conclusion, the flow of this last film feels a bit off. I almost would rather they had developed her story into a film itself rather than take 2.5 films for her to tell everyone else’s stories. We have no clue how Betty and Milo got from Jackson’s story to their wedding day. But overall, it’s a nice conclusion to the trilogy.
