The Freedom To Exist

Synopsis:

With legislation targeting the transgender community at an all-time high, this special documentary spotlights trans stories, featuring an exclusive interview with Oscar-nominated actor Elliot Page.

Quick Thoughts:

This is just one episode of an larger ABC documentary series: “Soul of a Nation”. According to ABC, ‘Soul of a Nation’ presents viewers with a unique window into authentic realities of Black life, and dive deeper into this critical moment of racial reckoning; traveling across the country, unpacking issues critical to Black Americans.

As far as this episode goes, I haven’t seen it yet. However from the reviews I can find from both trans and non-trans persons, it seems to be a decent documentary that highlights the struggles trans people are going through with all the anti-trans bills/laws being proposed nowadays. It has good representation of both trans men and women. Sounds like it’s worth watching!
