Synopsis:
Diana is a CEO banished to a wellness retreat by her company’s board of directors to work on her anger issues. When she arrives, she is shocked to reconnect with Vicki, whom she has never forgotten from high school. What seems like a second chance at love is threatened to shatter when secrets are revealed, regrets are confessed, and a recent tragedy will either bond them together or tear them apart.

I was rather surprised when Lesflicks released this for the 2025 holiday season – but “Retreat” is actually quite enjoyable! You have the classic story of two high school friends reconnecting years later, with a dash of lesbian romance between them, that makes this short film set at Christmas rather cute to watch. I’m not quite sure that the dramatic backstory was the right element to threaten their renewing connection, but I did thoroughly enjoy that at the end Vicky announced her coming out to her entire company as evidence that she’s changed. Overall, it’s a welcome lesbian short holiday film that’s wortj checking out on Lesflicks!
