We Need A Little Christmas

Synopsis:

This Christmas is different than any other Christmas thus far. Trisha Covington – Smith has decided to take her wife, Chris, and their children to a cabin in the woods to join her best friends Lindsay and Brighton, along with her new coworker, Angel, for a Christmas themed weekend. Santa Claus, laughter, and secrets lie ahead as the seemingly make shift bunch are forced to face each other, and heal with each other in the spirit of the season.

Quick Thoughts:

Frankly, I was bored trying to watch “We All Need A Little Christmas”. And I note “trying” because the plot is ALL over the place and rather difficult to follow. I certainly admire B. Danielle Watkins’ attempt at a queer holiday film, however this is a low-budget film full of multiple cinematic issues. It was actually difficult to hear some of the lines at times. I also am not sure why they dove hard into pushing religious beliefs onto Lindsey, who repeatedly notes she is an atheist. It puts a “religious trauma” cloud over an already awkward film. Perhaps you’ll enjoy this queer Christmas film – but I’d suggest skipping over this one.
