Quick Thoughts:
For those who are not already avid fans of John Walters, “Female Trouble” is the queer film that helped land Walters as a queer legend of cinema. From the iconic Divine to the fabulous Mink Stole, the cast is incredible. As for the actual story of this queer film, it’s a bit out there. But again, that’s exactly what you expect. But despite the crime spree that Dawn Davenport embarks on, “Female Trouble” is better known for the iconic Christmas scene when young Dawn throws a tantrum because she did not get her cha-cha shoes! Even though it’s not really a queer Christmas film, “Female Trouble” is a cult classic that you must watch at least once in your life!
