A Firefighter’s Christmas Calendar

(A Firefighter’s Christmas Wish)

Synopsis:

When firefighter Dani Reed rescues a family just before Christmas, she reignites her late mother’s “Holiday Heroes” fundraiser to help the community. With her ambitious sister Jackie, charming photographer Sasha, and supportive dad by her side, Dani finds love, purpose, and the courage to step into true leadership.

Quick Thoughts:

Once again, I’m pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable and cute this lesbian holiday romcom is! While it follows and includes many common tropes of holiday films making it a bit too easy to predict what happens in the end, the journey that we are taken on is still fun and interesting to watch. I was rather hesitant how the queerness would be balanced given all of the firefighters but our leading lady were men, but it actually didn’t distract from the obvious romance between Dani and Sasha. Nor did her sister’s hetero romance overtake our sapphic storyline. Is it a perfect holiday film? Not exactly. But if you’re after a good lesbian holiday film, “A Firefighter’s Christmas Calendar” is a great choice!
