A Christmas To Treasure

Synopsis:

The passing of beloved Ms. Marley reunites six estranged friends for one final hometown holiday treasure hunt. As the search unfolds and fond childhood memories are relived, sparks fly between Austin Craig and his former best friend Everett Matthews. The gang find the hidden treasure before the city has the chance to turn the Marley house into a holiday resort but the blossoming holiday romance between Austin and Everett may turn out to be the greatest Christmastime treasure of all.

Quick Thoughts:

In 2022, we got a handful of new queer Christmas films. Lifetime’s addition was “A Christmas To Treasure”, an ensemble film that centres around Austin & Everett, Everett’s parents, and their childhood friends. I’ll admit that the premise of the story is a bit quirky, as if they play too much into the usual tropes. When multiplied by the six childhood friends, things get a bit messy and we lost track of the main storyline between Austin & Everett. However, even though things seem forever over between them, we just know that in the end they end up together. Overall, “A Christmas To Treasure” is an enjoyable holiday film to watch.
