A New York Christmas Wedding

Synopsis:

As her Christmas Eve wedding draws near, Jennifer is visited by an angel and shown what could have been if she hadn’t denied her true feelings for her childhood best friend.

Quick Thoughts:

I was pleasantly surprised with “A New York Christmas Wedding”. Although I do find it interesting that the synopsis ignores the fact that Jennifer’s alternate life is a lesbian romance, it’s almost as if they’re trying to downplay the queer aspect. And of course, this is a queer holiday film with over half the film taking place with lesbian Jennifer (or perhaps bisexual, as it’s never clearly stated). The twist with who her guardian angel is caught me a bit off guard, but even that bit of mystical magic works well in the end. Overall it’s a nice lesbian Christmas film. “A New York Christmas Wedding” is worth adding to your holiday film watch list, especially if you enjoy sapphic holiday films!
