The 12 “Gays” of Christmas

Certain days in the “12 Gays of Christmas” campaign include a comment-based contest (each, a “Daily Comment Contest”). These Official Rules apply only to those specific days that mention a chance to “comment to win” a 1-month streaming subscription.

Days that feature coupons, discounts, or other non-contest gifts are not part of these Comment Contests and are not governed by these Rules.

Daily Comment Contest Schedule

The following days of the “12 Gays of Christmas” promotion include a Comment Contest. Each row below shows the applicable entry period and prize for that day; all other terms in these Rules apply to every contest listed here.

1. Sponsor

These Daily Comment Contests are sponsored by Queer Film Reviews, LLC, a U.S. business registered in Pennsylvania (“Sponsor”).

2. Eligibility

Daily Comment Contests are open to individuals who:

• Are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry; and
• Reside in a place where participation is legal and where the relevant streaming platform is available.

Void where prohibited by law. Entrants are responsible for ensuring they are eligible to create an account with the featured streaming platform (including any age, residency, and payment-method requirements imposed by that platform).

3. Participating Days & Promotion Periods

Each Daily Comment Contest has its own Entry Period, as specified in the Daily Comment Contest Schedule above.

Only comments submitted during the listed Entry Period for that specific day are eligible for that day’s contest.

Sponsor’s (or its web host’s) clock will be the official timekeeping mechanism for the promotion.

4. How to Enter

During the Entry Period for a given Daily Comment Contest:

1. Visit this “12 Gays of Christmas” post and navigate to the icon for that day.
2. Click on the icon to reveal the featured film and Daily Comment Contest for that day.
3. Click on either button within the popup to be redirected to the featured film’s review.
4. Read the review
5. Leave a meaningful comment either on the review or provide your thoughts on the film in the comment section at the end of the review.

Unless otherwise stated, limit one (1) entry per person per Daily Comment Contest. Duplicate, spam, or clearly off-topic comments may be disqualified at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

No purchase or payment is required to enter or win. Simply commenting as described above is a free method of entry.

5. Judging & Winner Selection

Each Daily Comment Contest is a contest of skill, not a random drawing.

Within approximately 3 days after the end of each Entry Period, Sponsor will review all eligible comments for that day and select one (1) winner whose comment best meets the following criteria:

• Relevance to the featured film or the review of the featured film,
• Thoughtfulness and/or creativity, and
• Overall clarity and enthusiasm.

Judging will be carried out by Sponsor (and/or its designees) in its sole discretion. All decisions are final and binding.

Odds of winning depend on the number and quality of eligible comments received for that Daily Comment Contest.

6. Prizes

For each Daily Comment Contest, the Prize is described in the Daily Comment Contest Schedule above (for example: one (1) month subscription to WOW Presents Plus / Tello Films / Lesflicks / Dekkoo, as applicable),along with the ARV and number of winners.

Prizes will typically be fulfilled in the form of:

• A promo code, gift subscription, or account credit provided by the streaming platform, or
• A direct purchase of a 1-month subscription on the winner’s behalf, as determined by Sponsor.

No substitution, cash equivalent, or transfer of any Prize is permitted, except that Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised Prize becomes unavailable.

The relevant streaming platforms (WOW Presents Plus, Tello Films, Lesflicks, Dekkoo) are not sponsors of and are not responsible for these Daily Comment Contests.

7. Winner Notification

The potential winner for each Daily Comment Contest will be notified within approximately 3 days after the Entry Period ends, using one or more of the following methods:

• A reply to their winning comment on the review post; and/or
• An email to the address associated with their comment, if available; and/or
• Other reasonable contact method specified in the post.

The potential winner may be required to confirm eligibility, provide any information necessary to deliver the Prize (such as a valid email address), and formally accept the Prize within 3 days of notification.

If a potential winner:

• Cannot be contacted,
• Fails to respond in time,
• Is found to be ineligible, or
• Declines the Prize,

Sponsor may, at its discretion, select an alternate winner using the same judging criteria, or choose not to award the Prize.

8. Taxes and Ongoing Subscription Charges

To the extent applicable, the winner is responsible for any and all taxes, fees, and other costs associated with acceptance and use of the Prize. Sponsor does not provide tax advice; entrants should consult their own tax advisors if they have questions.

Each Prize consists of access to a single 1-month subscription period with the applicable streaming platform. The gifted subscription will not automatically renew at the end of that period unless the winner chooses to provide their own payment information and continue the subscription directly with the platform.

If a winner decides to continue their membership after the gifted 1-month period ends, they are fully responsible for all ongoing subscription charges and fees. Sponsor is not responsible or liable for any charges, renewals, or account issues that arise from the winner’s separate subscription or billing relationship with the streaming platform.

9. Content Guidelines

By entering, you confirm that:

• Your comment is your own original content;
• Your comment does not contain hate speech, harassment, illegal content, or anything that infringes the rights of others (including copyright, trademark, or privacy rights); and
• Your comment complies with any applicable terms of use for the website where it is posted.

Sponsor may disqualify any entry that, in its sole discretion, violates these guidelines or is otherwise inappropriate for the Queer Film Reviews community.

10. General Conditions, Release & Privacy

Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend any Daily Comment Contest if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the promotion, as determined by Sponsor.
