The Holiday Sitter

5.0

Synopsis:

Sam babysits his niece and nephew before the holidays, and when he recruits help from their handsome neighbor Jason, he finds himself in an unexpected romance.

Quick Thoughts:

When Hallmark first introduced us to Jonathan Bennett, it wasn’t really a queer holiday film. Our gay couple was delegated off to the side as part of a family ensemble film. However when “The Holiday Sitter” was released in 2022 – I LOVED it! We finally had a truly gay Christmas film from Hallmark. Even though the format follows Hallmark’s typical and cliché format, there is something about watching “The Holiday Sitter” that just melts my heart. To see Sam literally embrace his family, tackling the hurdles of babysitting, all while falling in love with the gay neighbor is simply wonderful. It’s a gay holiday film that I can rewatch and still end up with a smile at the end. If you somehow haven’t yet seen “The Holiday Sitter”, this is truly a MUST watch for any holiday season!
