Sauna the Dead: A Fairy Tale

Synopsis:

A night in a sauna turns into a fight for survival. Two men must overcome prejudice and join forces in taking down a horde of towel-wearing zombies. Who will live to see the dawn…?

Quick Thoughts:

Ah, cruising at the sauna – something iconic to gay culture! This queer short throws in all the fun quirks, highs, & lows of going to the sauna – but with a twist. Of course I’m talking about Zombies! But this makes sense as it’s a bit of a parody on the famous movie, “Shaun of the Dead”, with a dash of gay romance. And kinda a Scrooge moment, as the entire zombie sequence ends up being a dream that shocks our lead into changing his ways. Having fun and being nice with the other guys there instead of brushing them all away. But does that trope, along with some Christmas lights, but no other references to the holidays, make this a queer holiday short? Nah. But it’s still worth watching!
