O Night Divine

Synopsis:

St. Moritz, Switzerland. On a snowy Christmas Eve in a grand mountain hotel, the lives of five people magically intertwine during a wild night full of extravagant adventures and joyous celebrations.

Quick Thoughts:

This was a rather cute film, though simplistic in nature. Five people’s stories intertwine in a magical way on Christmas Eve. It plays on a few common tropes: poor musician finding romance,;the bitter lesbian softening and reconnecting with her ex; Santa trying to take a break from Christmas; and the young girl who recognizes Santa and convinces him that he’s still needed and loved. There’s a bit of chaos as things start, that all gets wrapped up in the end with a bit of Christmas magic. It’s a good queer holiday short to watch if you’re after something simple yet joyful.
