Synopsis:
Rowena “Ro” is a high-spirited 11-year-old hoping to add more spunk to her Christmas celebrations when her parents’ divorce is going anything but smoothly.
Quick Thoughts:
I was rather surprised when I stumped upon “Christmas… Again?”, especially when realising that Disney produced the film. Of course, the queer storyline is a sideline one and a tad cliche: the gay uncles. However, I actually got rather annoyed with the direction of how they took the overall story. I get that Rowena had to really mess up and look inside before the “Groundhog Day” effect would be fixed – but I started to tune out. They wrap things up well in the end, and overall it’s a decent Disney film. But nothing special, and certainly only partially a queer holiday film.
