Synopsis:
Quick Thoughts:
“12 Dates of Christmas” is kind of a mix of The Bachelor and other dating reality shows – except the goal is to find a partner to take home for Christmas. It’s queer because Season 1 includes gay lead Garrett and the attractive gay men who are vying for his affection. But oh boy, the “reality” aspect of the show really lives up to the not-so-good things that happen when a gaggle of gays get together! Don’t get me wrong – I was utterly drawn in! But in the end Garrett reminded me of the cliche A-list gays – in all the wrong ways.
Season two features lesbian lead Amanda AND gay lead Markelle! I’m still working my way through the second season, but finding myself having a similar reaction to the first season. I’m intrigued at where it will end up! Unfortunately, this queer holiday reality-tv series is nigh impossible to find online anymore – even at Christmas time. But if you enjoy reality dating shows and want a wintery queer madness, then give it a watch if you happen across it!
