Quick Thoughts:
“Troop Zero” is a heartwarming film that shows how young girls can surpass the odds stacked against them in order to still find their own version of success. But is it a queer film? In a way, yes. There is a young boy who is welcomed into Troop Zero who is a bit genderfluid although it’s never explicitly stated. And there’s a bit of a sapphic subtext between Miss Rayleen and Miss Massey, especially when it comes out that they were friends growing up. I won’t freely call this a queer film, but there’s enough vagueness that I’m still including it in the Database. Let me know if you think it’s a queer film or not!
