You Should Meet My Son 2!

Synopsis:

A comedy about a religious mother who is determined to stop her gay son’s wedding. But her plans go awry when she accidentally befriends his fiancé and begins dispensing relationship advice.

Quick Thoughts:

Sequels are often a tricky thing, and rarely are they as good as the first film. However there is one rule that you don’t break: don’t recast ALL of your leads! Upon discovering this when “You Should Meet My Son 2” came out, I was very reluctant. Thankfully I gave this sequel a shot – and LOVED it! Is it perfect? Nope, but neither is the first film. If you’re looking for a queer comedy full of gags and a quirky storyline but aren’t looking for the best writing, then this is a good queer comedy to watch.
