Strange World

Synopsis:

A journey deep into an uncharted and treacherous land, where fantastical creatures await the legendary Clades—a family of explorers whose differences threaten to topple their latest, and by far most crucial, mission.

Quick Thoughts:

“Strange World” is a Disney film that got buried in a combo of very little promotion and poor initial reviews. Now, I have yet to watch what Disney falsely proclaims is their first film to include an openly gay character. So I cannot speak as to whether or not this is a decent queer film to watch. Some reviewers note that their treatment of the young gay romance is handled rather well. They note their issue with the film is that the storyline is more or less copied from other better known sci-fi adventure classics paired with animation that’s only adequate but nothing new or exciting. So until I get the chance to watch “Strange World”, we’ll have to rely on other reviewers as to whether or not this queer Disney film is worth watching.
