Synopsis:
Quick Thoughts:
This was a different queer sci-fi film… and I’m still not sure where I stand on it overall. The premise itself is quite intriguing: a time loop that has our two romantic leads stuck repeating the same day over and over again. Except while it’s a great day for Aaron, Trevor is always on the outside. Once the story addresses that sci-fi element, things suddenly take twists that take this from a romantic queer version of “Groundhog Day” into a thriller that’s suddenly rather tragic! However, it’s nice to see acclaimed non-binary actors Theo Germaine and Vico Ortiz in lead roles, along with the breakout performance from LBGTQ+ Olympic athlete/actor Danell Leyv. Even though the story is a bit wonky, it’s quite clear this is a queer film.
