Quick Thoughts:

I first discovered “Shadowhunters” after glancing some very gay fandom shipping memes on social media – and decided to watch it for myself. And let me tell you, it’s definitely queer! Although as is often the nature of TV series, there are many different characters and storylines. And the main storyline is heterosexual. It’s actually based on a series of books by Cassandra Clare, which was originally turned into a feature film entitled “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” However the reason the series is queer is because of Alec, who’s one of the main lead characters who is also gay. We learn of this early on in Season 1, however thought there series we are treated to a gay romance between Alec and the warlock Magnus. Plus it’s a fun series that deals with the Downworld of vampires, werewolves, and demons that’s worth watching!
