Red, White & Royal Blue

Synopsis:

After an altercation between Alex, the president’s son, and Britain’s Prince Henry at a royal event becomes tabloid fodder, their long-running feud now threatens to drive a wedge in U.S./British relations. When the rivals are forced into a staged truce, their icy relationship begins to thaw and the friction between them sparks something deeper than they ever expected.

Quick Thoughts:

I’m a sucker for queer romcoms! So Amazon’s latest queer film, “Red, White & Royal Blue” hits just the right spots for me! Based on Casey McQuiston’s novel, this film adaptation takes some liberties from the source material, but I don’t mind the changes. Although even in today’s liberally tolerant society, the general plot is a bit of a stretch for the sake of realism. But despite the film’s few faults, it’s still a major improvement over many Hallmark romcoms. “Red, White & Royal Blue” is simply enjoyable to watch! So if you haven’t seen it yet, I encourage you to head to Prime Video and check it out.
