Out of Iraq: Where Are They Now

Synopsis:

Two years later, we follow up with Nayyef and Btoo at their home in Seattle. Find the original Out of Iraq documentary on WoW Presents Plus!

Quick Thoughts:

This queer short documentary is a follow up to “Out of Iraq: A Love Story”. Two years after Nayyef and Btoo get married, we get to revisit how their lives are today. Despite a brief recap of the struggles they both went through to escape the horrors of being gay in Iraq and life as a unofficial refugee, this short is much more positive. There’s joy in seeing how their lives are rather normal today. If you watched their story in the documentary, then this is the perfect epilogue to wrap up a beautiful romance that faced hurdles many of us cannot even imagine. Worth the watch!
