Lady of the Night

(I kveld er det lov å være mann)

Synopsis:

The dynamics between friends are challenged when Martin arrives at the Christmas party wearing a dress.

Quick Thoughts:

Not sure what I watched… a boy, Martin, amid a group of stereotypical macho lads wears a dress to a private Christmas party. The other guys make some jokes, there’s a question of whether they’d prefer to be stuck on an island with only gay men or only lesbians,… and there’s a lap dance between Martin and another boy who kept trying to massage Martin’s shoulders. But that’s it. There are many quick cuts to a black screen that are just as confusing as the lack of plot. And honestly not sure why this is even considered queer, even though the writer & director note that it challenges the ideas of masculinity. It’s a miss for me, mainly because it doesn’t go anywhere.
