Synopsis:
Bennie’s daughter is on her way home for the holidays. However she surprises him by arriving with her brand new boyfriend – an uninvited GRINGO.

“How the Gringo Stole Christmas” came across my feed from another reviewer’s list. It’s a bit cringe-worthy, though this film does have some decent moments. But honestly, even knowing that Claudia’s best friend Javier is gay, I completely missed any actual reference to that fact! Apparently Claudia tells her dad she can’t be with Javier because he’s gay, but even trying to find that scene was near impossible. We do know that Anthony Zuniga, who portrays Javier, is gay himself. But sadly, there is almost no references in the film itself. It’s not a horrible film, but definitely a holiday film with a minor queer character.
