Pariah (Short)

Synopsis:

A lesbian teenager unsuccessfully juggles multiple identities to avoid rejection from her friends and family. Mounting pressure from home, school, and within wears the line between her personas thin with explosive consequences.

Quick Thoughts:

This is the original short film that the 2011 feature film of the same name is based upon. I haven’t seen it yet either, and it does appear difficult to find. However, since writer/director Dee Rees expanded upon the story of this short film in the feature film, “Pariah”, it may not be as important to watch since the feature film is more readily available.
