Quick Thoughts:
As for the film itself – honestly, I was bored most of the film. Sure, there is some very attractive eye candy to watch along with generous nudity. But the literal horseplay became the only thing that seemed to happen, and was overkill even for a group of mates. I don’t mind a slow-paced film that builds up over time, but this film went nowhere until perhaps the last 10 minutes. And from there – wow! I won’t reveal the ending, but how can they claim this is a comedy after that? Plus, when we finally have something interesting happen within the plot, the film ends!
Second, despite living in the Southern Hemisphere, I overlooked the “summer holidays” and missed out that this film takes place over the Christmas and New Year’s holiday. So other than the tiny Christmas tree they put up, it’s really just a queer film rather than a queer holiday film. And honestly, it’s one to avoid and not waste your time on. It ignores the many topics to explore for gratuitous nudity and horseplay that bores the viewer long before Berger gets to an actual plot.
