Something From Tiffany’s

Synopsis:

Follows a woman as her life gets upended when she receives a very special blue box that was intended for someone else. The “someone else” receives the misdirected blue box, and very unexpected things begin to happen. Love’s often-mysterious magic brings unsuspecting people together.

Quick Thoughts:

I actually enjoyed “Something From Tiffany’s”. It’s a cute romcom where a mixup ends up in a comical mishap that results in something special. It’s not without issues though. I felt that Ethan was way too polite in getting his ring back after finally meeting up with Gary, Gary acted like he had no clue what Ethan was talking about. Which also show’s Gary’s true character because he knows he has memory loss. Could’ve been resolved by a simple receipt. This is of course a queer holiday film, but only because Rachel’s friend/coworker is a lesbian and we see her with her partner throughout the film. However, Terri irked me the most for what she did – even though it ended up helping in the end. The heart of the film lies in the actual romance between Ethan and Rachel, so it’s a decent film to watch – but perhaps one to skip if you want a true lesbian holiday film.
