Synopsis:
Quick Thoughts:
“In The Grayscale” is Claudio Marcone’s first film – and it makes quite the impression! The storyline aligns with the film’s name, noting that one’s sexuality is not always black or white; sometime’s things lie in the middle where life is more gray. Francisco Celhay portrays Bruno’s confusion and internal struggle in a realistic manner that starts off a bit slow but builds as the film progresses. This is contrasted by Emilio Edwards’s character of Fer. He’s introduced as a lively energetic and queer ember who breathes life into the slow-paced film itself as he and Bruno’s attraction to each other builds. Unfortunately like most coming out films, there are some hiccups in their relationship and the film ends in a different manner than you would expect. But despite this, “In The Grayscale” is absolutely a stunning queer film that is worth watching!
