Synopsis:

Dear Iris is a gorgeously surreal film about a nonbinary individual who survives a hit-and-run on their way to Pride. While recovering at home with their mother, they experience strange physical and paranormal changes linked to a rebellious trans spirit, exploring themes of transformation, identity, love, acceptance, family, and authenticity. Dear Iris is a heartfelt and surreal story about Iris, a resilient nonbinary individual who narrowly survives a hit-and-run accident on their way to Pride. Returning home with their loving mother to recover from surgery, Iris begins to experience strange, inexplicable changes. Their hair grows rapidly and transforms in unpredictable ways, while surreal paranormal events start to unfold around them. As Iris’s appearance becomes more traditionally feminine and they begin to crossdress, their mother witnesses these unique shifts—believing they are connected to a restless, rebellious trans spirit inhabiting Iris.
