Synopsis:
Quick Thoughts:
At first I was rather confused because this queer holiday film just jumped right into Annie coming out to her mom – until it’s clear that she’s still asleep and dreaming! What’s nice is that it’s actually a pleasant dream; her family accepts her without question. Then she wakes up and answers the door. Another woman comes in, clearly Annie’s girlfriend. While they have a short quiet & reflective moment, suddenly Annie’s family start singing a cheery Christmas song celebrating Annie being a lesbian! Maybe it wasn’t a dream? I think It’s still a bit hopeful and fantastical versus realistic, but this queer sapphic short film is cute and quick to watch!
