Synopsis:
In this panoramic family drama by Oscar-nominated Palestinian director Scandar Copti, personal quests, poor choices, and social pressures test cherished relationships, both well-worn and blooming.
Quick Thoughts:
I happened to catch a review mention that this darker drama set around the holidays included a queer element, notably a subplot of a gay man making an agreement with a lesbian friend. Except it’s not the Christmas holiday, but other holidays in the year. But until I have watched “Happy Holidays”, I reserve my judgement on whether this is actually a queer film.
